This is my newest series, of Sacred Shapes, or Things You Might Find in a Yoga Studio. I first learned about Sacred Geometry and the Golden Ratio (1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, etc.), in a Pre-Calculus class. Beautiful patterns repeat themselves throughout nature, from the smallest grain of sand, to the vast Universe of the cosmos. And I thought this would be a fun thing to base a series around.
This particular idea came from my love of yoga studio decor, where such patterns are omnipresent. Combining techniques and motifs from previous collections (particularly my use of silver paint), with new tools: colored pencils, and a spirograph kit. Creating some very colorful, yet minimalist, one-of-a-kind pieces that are perfect for the modern yogi, seeker, or gallery wall.
If you love these, you may like the Chakra Yoga and Meditation collection too!
